New Nonstop International Flights from San Diego in 2017
While San Diego is known as “America’s Finest City” we haven’t always been blessed with the “finest” International flight schedules. If you live in Southern California and like to travel overseas you’ve become accustom to either driving to LAX for a nonstop flight, which is 2+ hours (give or take LA traffic) or opting for a double connection flight to get you abroad. Both options add extra travel hours to get to your final destination…and more importantly take away from your valuable vacation time.
Many people don’t realize that, currently, San Diego only offers 7 nonstop International flights – and of those 7, only 1 is a nonstop flight to Europe – London (Heathrow) on British Airways. And because BA currently has no other airline competition on that route there aren’t too many low-cost deals on that route.
That is all changing in Summer 2017 with the exciting recent announcement of two new Nonstop flights to Europe from San Diego:
- Condor Airlines - Summer seasonal service to Frankfurt, Germany begins April 2017
- Edelweiss Air - Summer seasonal service to Zurich, Switzerland begins June 2017
